Meet Lisa, RMT

I believe good care begins with listening.

I’m a Registered Massage Therapist, a graduate of the accredited program at Vicars School of Massage Therapy, and a member of the Massage Therapist Association of Alberta (MTAA). My education is grounded in a biopsychosocial, client-centred approach—recognizing that pain, recovery, movement and wellbeing are rarely as simple as treating one muscle in isolation.

My treatments combine clinical knowledge, careful assessment and attentive, responsive touch. I pay attention to what you tell me, what I observe, and how your body responds during treatment. That allows me to adapt rather than simply follow a routine, and to work with you toward a structured, realistic and achievable plan based on your individual goals.

I believe in kindness, but not performance. To me, kindness is quiet. It means listening without judgement, respecting boundaries, being honest about what I can and cannot do, and doing the right thing for a client whether or not anyone is watching.

Frequently Asked Questions

1) What do I need to complete before my appointment?
All required health history, billing, and consent forms must be completed before the day of your appointment. This allows me to review your information in advance and helps ensure your appointment can begin on time.

2) What do I need to prepare for my appointment?
Very little. I supply all necessary equipment and linens. I just need enough space for the massage table and room around it to move comfortably and safely.

3) How early will you arrive?
I will arrive approximately 10–15 minutes before your appointment to set up. Your scheduled treatment time is reserved for treatment.

4) Do you offer direct billing?
Direct billing is available for participating insurers. Coverage and eligibility depend on your individual benefits plan. If direct billing is unavailable or a claim cannot be processed, payment is due at the time of treatment and a reciept will be provided for you to submit to your insurer.

5) Why is a credit card required to book?
A credit card is required to hold your appointment but will not be charged at the time of booking. It is kept securely on file and no payment is taken when you book.

6) What is your cancellation policy?
Please provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations and missed appointments are subject to a $50 fee, charged to the card on file.

7) Can cannabis or CBD products be used before or during my treatment?
No. Due to an allergy, I cannot use or come into contact with cannabis- or CBD-containing products. Please do not apply cannabis or CBD creams, lotions, oils, balms, or other topical products before your appointment. If you have already applied one, please let me know before I arrive.

8) Are your services scent free?
No. Genuine Massage Therapy is not a scent-free service. Unscented products can be used on request, but because scented products may also be used, a completely scent-free service cannot be guaranteed.

9) What if I have animal allergies?
As a mobile therapist and pet parent, I may be exposed to animals throughout the day. While linens and equipment are cleaned between clients, a completely animal-allergen-free service cannot be guaranteed.
